You Don't Have To Like What We Do

This is an open letter to the public at large,

You don't have to like what we do, but please show us some respect and take us seriously.

It is so easy to dismiss a genre or scene if you can't dance to it or if it doesn't have a verse/chorus/verse. I've heard people say, "It's been done before.", "Anybody can do that.", or, personal favorite, "Unlike those guys, I'm a real musician."

I know a number of other performers that work hard at what they do. Also, in that group, there are several accomplished musicians. For them, this is an outlet. Room to breathe.

As with most things I do, I do it for the people that will get it. I am not a noise/experimental artist because I hate you. I do this because I love what I do and I love this scene. And there are more like me.

As I said when I started, you don't have to like it, you don't have to come to the shows and you don't have to understand atonality. Just remember, we are also a part of this town's performance community.

I heard a friend of mine use the term "sub-underground." That term fits in so many ways.

I'm not pointing any fingers,
